How to set the HOME setting on your browser

Every browser begins by connecting to a specific webpage. For instance, when you receive Netscape, it is set to connect you to www.netscape.com, which is why they receive several million hits a month. If you have a special reason to start your browsing day, every day, at Netscape.com - then go ahead. BUT, you can change the HOME page to something you would really like to see every day - SALT, for instance. Your own bookmark file is still only one click away, but this way you ensure 5 minutes of Torah every day before wandering all around cyberspace.

How to set the HOME setting

• Microsoft Internet Explorer
• 1. Click "Tools" on menu bar
  2. Click "Internet options"
  3. From the "General" tab
  4. If you are on this page, just click "Use Current"
  5. 1. or
  6. Under "home page", fill in " http://www.vbm-torah.org/salt.htm "
  7. Press "OK"

• AOL Web Browser:
• 1. Add SALT as your start-up page by clicking "Prefs"
  2. Change Home Page location to "http://www.vbm-torah.org/salt.htm"

• WebExplorer (OS2 Warp)
• 1. Click menu bar "Configure"
  2. Click "Servers"
  3. Type "http://www.vbm-torah.org/salt.htm/" as your "Home Document URL"
  4. Click "Load at startup?" checkbox
